Business Development-Outside Sales

Purpose of the position: Create revenue growth in our SAAS business and increase market share in our data business.

Responsibilities of the position:

  • Formulate and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets, while ensuring high customer satisfaction
  • Assist businesses with understanding their credit risk management and data needs and convert those needs to revenue.
  • Target large national companies for our enterprise SAAS product.
  • Proactively seek to gain market share from data competitors.
  • Creatively develop strategies to sell large data deals.
  • Work with GM of SAAS business unit and SVP of data business unit.



Requirements of the position:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years experience in selling business information and risk management solutions to C level executives.
  • Experience in the credit data industry a plus.
  • Experience with selling in multiple verticals a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of PowerPoint, word and excel and utilization of Salesforce.com
  • Demonstrated track record and proven success in business development & outside sales.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, contributing at many levels

Position Title: Business Development Representative



Reports to: Director of Inside Sales

Location: Boca Raton, FL

We have Sales positions available in our Boca Raton office and are looking for STAR players. Our customers move fast, our business model and products evolve to support our customers, and we believe our sales model is dynamic and ever changing – it moves fast too.

Purpose of Position and Business Impact:

  • Build new business opportunities to grow revenue and clients
  • Outbound calling to defined leads and territory (cold calling)
  • Drive sales activity to achieve monthly sales targets



Essential Functions – Responsibilities:

  • Outbound sales lead activity targeting new clients
  • Qualify new business opportunities and set up web meetings for review of Cortera Pulse solution
  • Leverage client referrals, associations and networking
  • Update and Manage SalesForce.Com CRM for territory



Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • B2B cold calling experience

Compensation:

We offer a competitive base salary and rewarding performance based commission plan that pays at target $60-$70K+++ (uncapped- we expect you to blow this away) plus our benefits (health, vision, dental, 401k).

Data Developer

In addition, its award-winning on-demand software supports the mission critical processes of granting credit, monitoring portfolio risk, and collecting accounts receivables.

Description:

Cortera is seeking a Data Developer to design and implement complex data load processes into Oracle. Responsibilities include all aspects of the project lifecycle including: design, implementation, unit testing and deployment. This position offers candidates the opportunity to join a highly focused and talented team. Cortera is looking for bright, creative, and enthusiastic team players to help enhance our products tailored to meet critical business needs of our customers.

Typical duties will include:

  • Transform business rules into ETL processes using Java or C# or ETL tool Pentaho.
  • Work with database administrators to complete database designs and models.
  • Create efficient PL/SQL queries and processes to transform and load the data.



Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience with Oracle
  • At least 2 years of Oracle PL/SQL programming
  • At least 2 years of .Net (C#) or Java or ETL tools
  • Familiar with handling large amounts of data in multiple formats (csv, xml, fixed width, database extracts, etc).
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field.

Staff Accountant
Boca Raton, FL



Industry-leading provider of business information solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant for its Boca Raton, FL location. We have a dynamic and fast-paced environment and we’re seeking someone with the aptitude and attitude to learn on-the-job and to have a good time doing it. The staff accountant must possess outstanding communication and problem solving skills. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

In this role you will need to:

  • Posts customer payments by recording checks and credit card transactions.
  • Process and post daily lockbox and wire remittance deposits.
  • Prepare and send invoices.
  • Maintains outbound calling program to collect aged receivables.
  • Accounts receivable analysis and reporting.
  • Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information.
  • Interface with customer service, sales organizations, and senior level management in communicating and resolving issues.
  • Handle customer receivable inquiries.
  • Assist with general ledger analysis/reconciliations and journal entry preparation and entries.
  • Prepare revenue analysis by customer, review customer trends.
  • Maintain customer contracts.
  • Maintain monthly commission plan for internal sales group.
  • Perform sales tax analysis.
  • Responsible for assisting with all other accounting functions as deemed necessary.



About you— you should have:

  • 3+ years experience with General Ledger/AR/Collections
  • Proficient in Excel – Vlookups/Hlookups/Sumifs
  • Sage 50 Experience (preferred)
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
