Wasn’t Cortera called eCredit? Why the name change?

As we continue to expand our business, we are increasingly providing our solutions to all areas of our customers’ organizations. Whether you’re making a credit decision, determining collections strategies, defining customer market segments, prioritizing sales leads or pre-qualifying prospects, the information and process enablers you need are similar. We felt that our name should properly reflect the growing scope of solutions we provide.

Why name the company “Cortera”? What does Cortera mean?

The name “Cortera” is derived from the core building blocks of our mission and our unique approach.

Will eCredit remain a brand of Cortera?

Yes. We are even more committed than ever to the eCredit software platform and we will continue to refer to our Enterprise Credit and Collections modules as “eCredit by Cortera.” Customers will still be able to access the Customer Center and other information from www.eCredit.com.
