Ebay, Amazon, Overstock, Shop.com… these are all big-name online retailers that have high hopes for Cyber Monday shoppers. While Black Friday (the Friday after Thanksgiving) is the biggest holiday shopping day for brick-and-mortar stores, Cyber Monday (the Monday after Thanksgiving) is the kick-off to the holiday online shopping season. Online retailers, also called e-commerce businesses, are banking on millions of working consumers to shop online in their office for purchases they couldn’t make in stores. Cyber Monday has turned into an entire marketing event in which internet retailers offer deals and sales to online consumers.
